Our Story

India has always had a special relationship with flavour.

From the rich diversity of vegetables and spices, to the deep-rooted culture of enjoying traditional accompaniments like pickles, sharbats, and other timeless favourites — our food has always been about more than just taste. It is about comfort and identity.

Our journey began with a simple thought: why do pickles made in Indian villages taste so unforgettable? In rural households, pickles are not just products — they are traditions, prepared with patience, care, and generations of knowledge. We studied these behaviours closely, learning from the authentic preparation methods followed across different parts of India.

Taking the best from these regional traditions, and combining it with modern food safety standards and the Indian taste palette, we began crafting our own recipes.

What followed was a process of countless iterations — refining the spice blends, perfecting the temperatures, and balancing flavours until we reached the best version of what we wanted to deliver.

At ANOKHA, we believe that taste and quality must always come first.

That is why every ingredient we use is carefully handpicked — from the main vegetables and spices to even the smallest components that make up just 0.1% of the final product. We do not believe in shortcuts. What we believe in is honesty, integrity, and delivering something we are proud of.

Today, after more than a decade, we are honoured to be serving lakhs of families across India, receiving love and trust from customers in ways we never imagined when we started.

How It All Began

Every big journey starts small.

Ours began in a small room in Gurgaon, where the very first batch of just 25 kilograms was prepared with our recipe.

In 2014, we served our first 50 customers.

From there, we grew slowly and steadily across Gurgaon, always listening closely to the feedback we received. Customer responses became our backbone, helping us improve continuously and stay true to what matters most — flavour, purity, and consistency.

Founder’s Note

I worked across many parts of the food world — from fruits and vegetables to sauces, chutneys, jams, and syrups; collecting knowledge about the Indian consumer from various food giants. After years of working for other brands, I used my understanding of Indian taste — the love for spices, warmth and flavours that feel like home.  At an age when most people think of slowing down, I started with 2 pickle SKUs. Today, we have grown to 15+ products and are grateful to be part of lakhs of families’ meals. The primary goal has always been to make — something that feels like home, yet offers a little newness, something truly ANOKHA. While pickles will always be our heart, we have grown into syrups, chutneys and seasonal specialties with a simple dream — to be a trusted companion to your everyday ghar ka khana.
